Roma Library During the past years IMF has functioned as a well of information for the public whenever they´ve needed information about gipsies. Researchers , students , journalists , curious has all called or visited IMF with their questions about gipsies. In 1998 IMF took the initiative to start collecting all litterature about gipsies , childrens books , novels , education books , magazines , facts etc to create Europes first gipsy library and gipsy informationcentre.

Besides the litterature the Roma Library also offers gipsy films , ”Black Cat / White Cat” , ”Time of the Gipsies” etc and also an enormous collection of gipsy music from all over the world. Gipsy magazines with current news , arrangements , festivals etc is also available in the Roma Library. A great sound and picture archive with stories from our elderly gipsies will be built inside the Roma Library so that the next generations of gipsies and other nations can take part of their incredible stories. The Roma Library will be opened for the public first during 2001.
